About the journal
Energy and Climate Management is an open access, peer-reviewed, and policy-oriented academic journal dedicated to publishing interdisciplinary research in the fields of contemporary energy and climate management. Led by Prof. ZHANG Xiliang of Tsinghua University as Editor-in-Chief, the journal aims to build an international platform for the publication and exchange of cutting-edge research, foster dialogue between policy researchers and decision-makers, and provide solutions for addressing global climate change and accelerating the low-carbon energy transition.

Energy and Climate Management publishes four types of papers: Reviews, Articles, Communications and Perspectives. Reviews inform readers of the latest research and advances in climate change and energy transition; Articles report original research, methodologies, results, and discussions; Communications feature exciting research breakthroughs; and Perspectives offer expert insights, opinions, and critical analyses of current trends, challenges, and future directions in the field.
Looking ahead to 2026, the journal will focus on several key areas, including but not limited to:
Medium- and long-term low-carbon transition pathways for developing countries pursuing both energy transition and socioeconomic development goals;
The design, implementation and evaluation of energy and climate policy tools in different national contexts;
Investment and financing mechanisms, development finance and international cooperation models in energy transition, as well as their impacts on technology diffusion and transition pace;
Issues facing developing countries within the framework of global climate governance, such as equity and responsibility sharing, capacity building, and policy feasibility.
We warmly invite submissions from global experts and scholars working in these and related areas.
